Battle of the Books 2013

Attentions teens entering grades 6-9!

The summer-long "Battle of the Books" program is currently underway.  Our Hauppauge Library team has begun reading the eight pre-selected books and has already had one practice meeting.   If you're interested in joining the team, there's still time, but you need to do it fast!  The last day to register for this program is tomorrow, Tuesday, July 2nd.  Check out the following video that explains exactly how the county-wide Battle works to see if it's something you'd like to participate in:

(Remember: Only teens entering grades 6-9 with a Hauppauge Public Library card can participate in the Hauppauge Library Battle of the Books.  If you have a library card from another Suffolk County library, check with your home library... chances are, they probably have a team you can join!)
